As I walked to my friend’s car at lunch today, I saw children running on grass while the sprinklers on. They were soaking wet but they were laughing and having fun. First thought came to mind was: “If I wasn’t working in the Vice President Department, I would walk on grass, get wet and call in sick for the afternoon.” Why didn’t I do it? Because I have documents that need to be taken care off. I have to delivery those documents because they contain sensitive matters and so confidential…because…just because

Obligations: Things that I hate but “have to do.”

How many times in your day that these thoughts come to mind starting: “Oh my god, I have to…” “Oh, I need to…”

And sometimes it’s not necessary obligations, sometimes it’s thing that we want to turn to be made us feel like we “oblige” to do it.

Sick, isn’t it? As we grow older, we tend to have more “have to’s” to do. The only thing I had to do when I was young was: do my homework or else. Now, as I grow older: I have to work, I have to pay bills, I have to go shopping (wtf? I know.)

So, do we create more obligations for ourselves as we age or they just come naturally?

On the serious note: don’t mind what I just wrote. It’s Friday afternoon, and my mind almost checked out.
